Results/Standings After LOCK Thread Day 4 (1/17)

LOCK Thread Results - Day 4

OVERALL RECORD  ---  50-39-4

TOP CONSENSUS PLAY  ---  Indiana (10 for - 2 against)  ---  CONSENSUS is now 2-2

ALL CONSENSUS PLAYS  ---  3-1 ---  Indiana, Louisville, & Suns were winners.  Butler was the only loser.  Vandy turned out to NOT be a CONSENSUS play since there were 6 for and 3 against, for a NET of only 3.

LOCK of the Day  ---  Goes to sneakypete for the LOCK of Georgia Southern, meaning sneaky actually hit a LOCK, even though it was lost into CBS's black hole of malfunctionism!

BREAKDOWN FOR LAST NIGHT  ---  NCAA 42-36-3, NHL 2-2-1, NBA 6-1

OVERALL LOCK THREAD RESULTS - Through Day 4

OVERALL RECORD  ---  170-151-2

TOP CONSENSUS  ---  2-2

ALL CONSENSUS PLAYS  ---  13-5 OVERALL

BREAKDOWN:

NCAA - 139-116-4

NHL - 8-5-1

NBA - 24-30

And an early list of hot LOCKers includes:

4-0  ---  Romigh12

3-0  ---  bdil54, bearfan#one, lockpicks1, UTvols98, wedabest7

2-0  ---  Balls1, bucky1again, cashmein, C-Pu, GBFAN, Java, JMagz, killtee, Knights10, lsufan777, NAIAallamerican, nissan1234, pantherboy, papadock5, Pick Magnet, Rich Boy, tmdonopsu, umass8662

Some real nice records there.  I'll get the first full Standings page up on Monday, I think.

Good start for all you guys.  Keep it up!

GOOD LUCK TODAY TO ALL!

Results/Standings After LOCK Thread Day 3 (1/16)

LOCK Thread Results - Day 3

OVERALL RECORD  ---  42-45

TOP CONSENSUS PLAY  ---  Drake (14 for - 0 against)  ---  CONSENSUS is now 1-2

ALL CONSENSUS PLAYS  ---  3-3 ---  Duke, Purdue, and Memphis were winners.  Drake, Texas A&M, and UNC were losers.

LOCK of the Day  ---  Goes to nissan1234 for the LOCK of Texas Tech, the only one to go against the Thread on that play and it was the easiest cover of the night.

OVERALL LOCK THREAD RESULTS - Through Day 3

OVERALL RECORD  ---  120-112-1

TOP CONSENSUS  ---  1-2

ALL CONSENSUS PLAYS  ---  10-4 OVERALL

BREAKDOWN:

NCAA - 97-80-1

NHL - 6-3

NBA - 18-29

And an early list of hot LOCKers includes:

3-0  ---  Romigh12 and wedabest7

2-0  ---  ColbyJack777, GBFAN, C-Pu, bdil54, JMagz, UTvols98, bucky1again, Java, NAIAallamerican, umass8662, cashmein, Balls1, lockpicks1, Hakan Loob

An interesting note about the list of undefeated LOCKers:  There are 16 names on that list.  Of those 16, 11 were LOCKers from last year.  The point is that it takes some a little bit of time to come to terms with what they want to call a LOCK or not.  Obviously, those with experience have a good idea of when to post a LOCK and when not to.  Selectivity is the key.

Also, lockpicks and Hakan Loob (Top-5 username!!) are both 2-0 on NHL totals.  Keep a special eye out for these guys on NHL over/under LOCKS.  NHL totals are a great place to find winners.

Back to "work" and good luck to everybody today!

CONSENSUS Plays for Day 3 - Jan. 16

Here are the CONSENSUS plays as of right now.  Last night's plays went 6-0!!!!!!!!

These plays will change as more LOCKS come in.  But this is where we stand right now.

TOP CONSENSUS PLAY

Drake (-2.5)  ---  14 NET PLAYS  ---  14 for - 0 Against

This is an especially attractive play because the #2, #3, #4, and the #7 LOCKers from last season (ohiostbucks1, metsfaninnj18, hawki, and ezweightloss) are all on this play.  Hard to imagine a stronger CONSENSUS than this one.

OTHER CONSENSUS PLAYS (as of 6:30 PM)

Duke (-6)  ---  6 NET PLAYS  ---  7 for - 1 against

Texas A&M (-4.5)  ---  6 NET PLAYS  ---  6 for - 0 against

Purdue (-1.5)  ---  5 NET PLAYS  ---  5 for - 0 against

North Carolina (-11)  ---  4 NET PLAYS  ---  4 for - 0 against

And there are several plays that could turn into CONSENSUS plays as they have 3 NET PLAYS, including Blazers, CS Northridge, and Memphis.

MANO-A-MANO BATTLE OF THE NIGHT

No good Mano-A-Mano play tonight.

A CONSENSUS play is considered a game that at least 4 NET LOCKS for one side.

Again, these are as of 6:30 PM, EST.  Many more LOCKS will come in tonight to sway the numbers.
